Behold, I Stand at the Door and Knock . . . !

Jesus knocking at the door 1     “No man can of himself cast out the evil throng that have taken possession of the heart. Only Christ can cleanse the soul temple . . . but He will not force and entrance. He come not into the heart as to the temple of old; but He says . . .

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My Voice, and opens the door (yields, surrenders their will), I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me . . . !”     Revelation 3:20

Cleansing of the Temple of the Heart ?

temple 2     “What?  know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (John 4:24) which is in you . . . which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”   I Corinthians 6:19-20

“In the cleansing of the temple, Jesus was announcing His mission as the Messiah, and entering upon His work. That temple, erected for the abode of the divine Presence, was designed to be an object lesson for Israel and for the world. From eternal ages it was God’s purpose that every created being, from the bright and holy seraph to man, should be a temple for the indwelling of the Creator.
Because of sin, humanity ceased to be a temple for God. Darkened and defiled by evil, the heart of man no longer revealed the glory of the Divine One. Lucifer – the fall from Heaven ?

satan cast out 5The Controversy Begins –

“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying . . . Lord (Sovereign, King), even the devils are subject unto us through Thy name. And Jesus said unto them . . . I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven (why are you surprised? for it was I Who cast him out) !
Behold, I give unto you power* to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you . . . !”     Luke 10:17-19

“The history of the great conflict between good and evil, from the time it first began in heaven to the final overthrow of rebellion and the total eradication of sin, is also a demonstration of God’s unchanging love.

The Sovereign of the universe was not alone in His work of beneficence. He had an Associate –a Co-Worker who could appreciate His purposes, and could share His joy in giving happiness to created beings. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (Deity, Divine) . . . The same was in the beginning with God.” John 1:1- 2. Continue reading

The demon of selfishness – part.2

calvaryThe Law of Life !

“Love, the basis of Creation and of Redemption, is the basis of true education. This is made plain in the law that God has given as the guide of life. The first and great commandment is, “Thou shalt love the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength.” Mark 12:30, 31. To love Him, the Infinite, the Omniscient One, with the whole strength and mind and heart, means the highest development of every power. It means that in the whole being –the body, the mind, as well as the soul —the image of God is to be restored !

If any man will come after (follow) Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me . . . !”   Luke 9:23 and I Corinthians 15:31
