The Belly of the Beast . . . !

“God has His workmen in every age. The call of the hour is answered by the coming of the man. Thus when the Divine Voice cries, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” the response will come, “Here am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:8.

Let all who labor effectually in the canvassing field feel in their hearts that they are doing the work of the Lord in ministering to souls who know not the Truth for this time. They are sounding the note of warning in the highways and byways to prepare a people for the great day of the Lord, which is so soon to break upon the world.

We have no time to lose. We must encourage this work. Who will go forth now with our publications? The LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) imparts a fitness for the work to every man and woman who will co-operate with divine power. All the requisite talent, courage, perseverance, faith, and tact will come as they put the armor on. A great work is to be done in our world, and human agencies will surely respond to the demand. The world must hear the warning. When the call comes, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” send back the answer clear and distinct, “Here am I; send me.”

Who Shall Stand When He Appeareth ?

hourglassDear brothers and sisters,

It is our prayer, that today, as many call to remembrance the first Advent of our Lord and Saviour to this world, that we may also take time to seriously consider His 2nd Advent, and His soon coming again in the clouds of heaven to receive His own !

“Behold, I will send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way (My path) before Me . . . And the Lord (Adoni – the Sovereign King), Whom ye seek, shall suddenly (unexpectedly) come to His temple (I Corinthians 3:16-17) . . . . Even the Messenger of the Covenant, Whom ye delight in: Behold, He shall come, saith the LORD of hosts . . . ref: Psalm 72:6 & Hosea 6:3

But who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appeareth?”     Malachi 3:1-2 & 4:1-6

“Who shall ascend into the hill (mountain – Isaiah 2:3) of the LORD? and who shall stand in His holy place? . . . . he that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity (pride, self-confidence), nor sworn deceitfully . . . He shall receive the Blessing (Galatians 3:14) from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his Salvation . . .

For this is the generation (the children) of them that seek Him, that seek Thy Face, O Jacob. Selah !”   Psalm 24:3-6 & II Corinthians 4:3-6

The character and tendency of modern revivals has awakened no little anxiety in thoughtful minds among all denominations. Many of the revivals which have occurred during the last forty years have given no evidence of the work of the Spirit of God. The light which flames up for a time, soon dies out, leaving the darkness more dense than before.

Popular revivals are too often carried by . . . .

Exodus – The True Story of History’s Greatest Deliverance !

Reared in the ways of the God of the heavens during his early childhood, Moses, who was drawn from the water, was moved from his humble abode to one of privilege with every amenity. Temptation abounded, but the teaching of his mother in the way of truth lingered in his mind, even as he was tutored in the schools of the pharaoh. With his leadership and military training behind him, yet convinced of his sacred duty, he ached to see his people suffer.

Exodus cover1Thus, Moses committed the same grave error of many of his ancestors: taking matters into his own hands. An Egyptian oppressor died because of Moses’ misguided fervor, which sent him fleeing as a fugitive. In the mountains of Moses’ refuge, God broke down the strongholds of Egyptian influence.

As forty years of Moses’ life passed in his wilderness hideaway, God instilled in His servant lessons of faith, patience, humility, and reverence. When Moses was humbled, God met him at the burning bush. He trembled at the thought of returning to the land of his birth to face a brotherly foe. Only then did God lay out His detailed instruction to rescue the Hebrew people. Together Moses and his brother Aaron took the message of God to the earthly king: “Let My people go ! Continue reading

The Paths of Righteousness . . . ?

“He leadeth me beside the still waters . . . He restoreth my soul, He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake . . .”     Psalm 23:2-3

Blessed are the undefiled in the Way, who walk in the Law of the LORD . . . . Yea, blessed (ref: Galatians 3:14) are they that keep His testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart. For they also do no iniquity, who walk in His Ways . . . !”   Psalm 119:1-3

What was Abolished in Christ ?

nailed to the cross 4     “And took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross . . . !”
Colossians 2:14

“The words ‘abolish,’ ‘take away,’ ‘destroy,’ and ‘change’ have been so persistently connected with the law by some public teachers that there exists in the minds of many people the honest conviction that all which is expressed by these words was done to the law by Christ.

It is true that He came to “abolish” something, and to “take away” something, and to “destroy” something, and to “change” something; but it is important that we-should know just what it was that He abolished, and what it was that He took away, and what it was that He destroyed, and what it was that He intended to change by His work in behalf of man. This we can easily learn from the Scriptures. Continue reading

Stand Fast in the Freedom wherewith Christ hath made you free !

Jesus-heals-lameDELIVERANCE ?

Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”     Galatians 5:16.

What a blessed promise! And as sure as it is blessed, it’s blessing is to everyone who believes.

Think of the lust (carnal desire) of the flesh. How all-pervading it is! How stern are its dictates! How oppressive its rule! How dismal is the slavery that it lays upon man! Everybody has experienced it — longing to do the good that he would, yet doing only the evil that he hated; having ever a will to do better, but how to perform it, finding not . . . .
Delighting in the law of God after the inward man, yet finding in his members (the flesh) another law, warring against the law of his mind and bringing him into captivity to the law of sin which is in his members; and at last, crying out, “O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”
Romans 7:14-24. Continue reading
