The Power of Simply Believing God . . . ?

Daniel - lions 4     “We have most precious Promises in the Word of God, which ought to give us courage and confidence. They should enable us to come out of uncertainty and darkness, to come where we may know that the Spirit beareth witness with our spirit (mind) that we are the children of God. There is nothing wanting in the store-house of our God.

Jesus has said, “Believe me, that I Am in the Father, and the Father . . . which is Spirit (John 4:24 and 3:1-2) . . . in Me; or else believe me for the very works’ sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me (the Word of God), the works that I do, shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.”   John 14:11-12 and 7:37-39.

The disciples of Christ are to do greater works than Jesus Himself has done. He says further: “Whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” “If ye ask anything in My name, I will do it.”  John 14:13-14 & I John 3:22-24  Christ spoke these Words for the comfort of all who should have faith in Him, and it is our privilege to believe that God will do just as He has said He would !

The Law of God – Fulfilled or destroyed ?

Bible_101     The question which is now being asked by many of God’s children is . . . . If Christ came to “fulfill” the law, then what part did He destroy ?

This is a vital Truth for each of God’s children to know. The LORD did not come to change His Law (instructions in righteousness) . . . “For He shall magnify the Law and make it honourable” (Isaiah 42:21) . . . . but rather He has given us the promise that He will change our carnal hearts of stone !

Verily, verily, I say unto you . . . Ye must be begotten again !”

Christ or the Law ?

Romans 7:6 and 2:13

“For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law (written and engraven in stones) could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, GOD sending His Own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh . . .

That the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled* (filled to it’s fullest) in us, who walk not after (by the power of) the flesh, but after the Spirit !”     Romans 8:1-4 Continue reading

Two Covenants & the Better Promise ?

This is His Name     “For this is the Covenant (Oath, Promise) that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the LORD; I will put My laws (instructions in righteousness) into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God (Elohim), and they shall be to Me a people . . .

And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD ! for all shall know Me, from the least to the greatest. And I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember* (mark, keep record of) no more . . . !”     Hebrews 8:6-12

For this is Life eternal, that they might know Thee, the Only True God, and Jesus Christ Whom Thou hast sent . . . !”     John 17:3

I will open My mouth in a parable . . . which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust (carnal desires) of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth (warreth) against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh and these are contrary the one to the other, so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
