Justified by Faith Alone !

bethesdaBut it is a faith which works by love . . .

Now it was not written for his (Abraham’s) sake alone . . . But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed (reckoned), if we believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord (Sovereign King) from the dead . . .      Who was delivered (given up) for our offenses,* (ref: Romans 8:31-34) and was raised again for our justification. Therefore . . . being justified* by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ !”                                                    Romans 4:17-25 and 5:1, 12-19 and 6:1-6

Justified (H6663) = to make clear, to cleanse, to make righteousness
(G1344, 1342) = to render, declare just, innocent, free, holy, and righteous !

The Lord would have His people sound in the faith– not ignorant of the great Salvation so abundantly provided for them. They are not to look forward, thinking that at some future time a great work is to be done for them; for the work is now complete !

The believer is not called upon to make his peace with God; he never has nor ever can do this. He is to accept Christ as his Peace, for with Christ is God and peace.      Christ made an end of sin, bearing its heavy curse in His own body on the tree (II Peter 1:24), and He hath taken away the curse from all those who believe in Him as a personal Saviour (Galatians 3:8-14). He makes an end of the controlling power of sin in the heart, and the life and character of the believer testify to the genuine character of the grace* (G5485) of Christ.

Begotten Again ? – sons and daughters of the Living God

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord (Sovereign King) Jesus Christ . . . . which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively (Living) hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead . . .” I Peter 1:3

And Jesus says to you and I, Marvel not that I say unto thee, Ye must be born (begotten again) . . . . For except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God !” John 3:7, 3

This is the very essence of the Gospel, the condition upon which all our Salvation (deliverance, freedom and healing) and Redemption hangs. And it is this greatest of Promises, which our Lord and Saviour desires each of us to understand and to know personally by experience. . . . that we might become truly “sons and daughters” of the Most High !      ref: II Corinthians 6:14-18

A Message of Hope !

woman caught adulteryHe is able to save to the uttermost !

“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God (Elohim – the Mighty One of Israel): for I shall yet praise Him for the Help* of His Countenance . . . !”   Psalm 42:5

“Satan seeks to draw our minds away from the mighty Helper, to lead us to ponder over our degeneration of soul. But though Jesus sees the guilt of the past (last year, last month, last week, or even last night), He speaks pardon; and we should not dishonor Him by doubting His love.

The feeling of guiltiness must be laid at the foot of the cross, or it will poison the springs of life. When Satan thrusts his threatenings upon you, turn from them, and comfort your soul with the Promises of God. The cloud may be dark in itself, but when filled with the Light of heaven, it turns to the brightness of gold; for the glory (character and love) of God rests upon it.       – Testimonies to Ministers p.518

If you feel yourself to be the greatest sinner, Christ is just what you need, the greatest Saviour. Lift up your head and look away from yourself, away from your sin, to the uplifted Saviour; away from the poisonous, venomous bite of the serpent to the Lamb of God Who taketh away the sin of the world.                                                           – Lift Him Up p.256

The sense of sin has poisoned the springs of Life. But Christ says, “I will take your sins; I will give you peace. I have bought you with My blood. You are Mine. My grace* shall strengthen your weakened will; and your remorse for sin I will remove . . . . !” Continue reading

Maranatha and Thank you !

“It is not merely the duty of the minister, but of every member of the church, to represent Christ to the world. They are to catch the rays of Light from Jesus, and reflect them upon souls blinded by error and infatuated with false doctrines. They are to hold up the only true standard of righteousness, which is God’s holy law, while the world is holding up a false standard. Satan is seeking to present Light for darkness, and darkness for Light, the Truth for error, and error for the Truth. He would extinguish every ray of Light shining from the throne of God, and in its place put his darkness.

But the sons of God are here, every one of them, for the purpose of irradiating (shining in) the world ! . . .

“Ye are the light of the world.” Every individual Christian is required of God to be a living, shining light in the world. He must wrestle with God in secret prayer; then he will go forth in the Spirit of Christ to hold converse with men. Anointed for the mission, he bears with him the atmosphere of paradise. His words will be well-chosen, and his face will reflect the image of his Master. He will be the light of the world, a living epistle known and read by all men . . . . !”

Christian Modesty ?

“Know ye not that ye are the Temple of GOD, and that the Spirit of God (Elohim) dwelleth in you?  If any man (or woman) defile the Temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the Temple of God is holy, which Temple ye are . . . !” I Corinthians 3:16-17

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication (carnal desire and lusts). And that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel (body) in sanctification and holiness . . . !”   I Thessalonians 4:3-5

“That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons (children begotten) of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world !”   Philippians 2:15

The Greatest in the Kingdom ?

“Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming (appearing, revealed) in (as) His Kingdom (Sovereign, Reign, royalty, glory).

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart from the others, and was transfigured* before them: and His face did shine as the sun, and His rainment was white as the light,
and glistering !”    Matthew 17:1-5 & Luke 9:27-29

Verily, I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children,
ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. But whosoever therefore shall
humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven !”
Matthew 18:3-4 Continue reading
