The Price of Our Freedom ?

woman-forgiven-2     “In all this conflict with the powers of evil, there was ever before Christ the darkened shadow (Matthew 27:46) into which He Himself must enter . . . Ever before Him was the price which He must pay for the ransom of these souls.   As He witnessed the sufferings of the human race, He knew that He must bear a greater pain, mingled with mockery; that He must suffer the greatest humiliation . . .

“My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?   Why art Thou so far from helping Me, and from the words of My roaring (moaning)? . . . I am poured out like water, and all My bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of My bowels.      My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and My tongue cleaveth to My jaws; and Thou hast brought Me into the dust of death. For dogs have compassed Me about: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed Me . . . yea, they pierced My hands and My feet. I may tell (count) all My bones . . .

They look and stare upon Me. They part My garments among them, and cast lots upon My vesture . . . All they that see Me laugh Me to scorn: they shoot out their lip, they shake their head, saying . . . He trusted on the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) that He would deliver Him: let Him deliver, seeing He delighted in Him . . .      But be not Thou far from Me, O LORD, O My Strength (John 14:10-11), haste Thee to help Me . . .”   Psalm 22:1-19

14604589360ac88b4d     “He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth . . . He is brought as a Lamb to the slaughter; for the transgression* (rebellion, apostasy) of My people was He stricken. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise* (to crush, to crumble, to break in pieces) Him; He hath put Him to grief* (rubbed, worn, make sick, grieved, put to pain, made to be sorry) . . .

When Thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin . . . for though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered (Hebrews 5:8) . . . He shall see His seed (offspring), and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. Yea, He shall see the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied . . . for He shall bear their (our) iniquities !”   Isaiah 53:7-11

When He raised Lazarus from the dead, He knew that for that life alone He must pay the ransom on the cross of Calvary.   Every rescue made was to cause Him the deepest humiliation. He was to taste death for every man. . . !”

– Youth’s Instructor, December 29, 1898

“For in that He died, He died unto sin once (Daniel 9:24), but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God . . . That He might be the Firstborn (First Begotten) among many brethren . . . !”     Romans 6:10-11 & 8:29

“Man is poisoned by sin; but a Remedy has been provided for the fallen race in the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the whole world!   Every hope that we have of Salvation (rescue, deliverance, freedom, healing and restoration) outside of Christ is a vain hope.

We cannot dishonor our Saviour more than by doubting that He will save us. Whatever may have been our life of transgression (rebellion and apostasy), however deep may be the stain of our sin, there is One Who is able* (full of power) to save to the uttermost all that come unto God by Him.” ref: Hebrews 7:25

It is Finished (paid in full) !– Signs of the Times, March 10, 1890

“Jesus knows the circumstances of every soul. The greater the sinner’s guilt, the more he needs the Saviour. His heart of divine love and sympathy is drawn out most of all for the one who is the most hopelessly entangled in the snares of the enemy. With His own blood He (Christ) has signed the emancipation papers of the race.” – Ministry of Healing, p.89-90

“Jesus is the remedy for sin. We may have intellect, but human intelligence can devise no way of Salvation (no way of cleansing or freedom); we may have earthly possessions, but that will not provide a ransom for the sin of our soul.   Salvation (deliverance, freedom, rescue, healing, and restoration) is the gift of God through Christ, and the Promise is, “Whosoever believeth on Him shall not perish, but have eternal Life (is no longer under the dominion of sin and death, but has the liberty of the sons and daughters begotten of God) !”      For God hath sworn, and He cannot lie . . . !

It is not enough to have a nominal faith. We must have faith that will appropriate the Life-giving power to our souls. We suffer great loss because we do not exercise simple, living faith in Christ. We should be able to say, “He is my Saviour (personally); He died for me; I look to Him as my complete Saviour and I live !”

– Signs of the Times, March 10, 1890
“For God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent (change His mind). For hath He said, and shall He not do it? . . . or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good ?”     Numbers 23:19

“And faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God . . . as it is written, The just* (justified, made innocent, holy, perfect and righteous) shall live by faith !” Romans 1:17, Habakkuk 2:4, Galatians 3:11 & Hebrews 10:38

“God does not ask you to feel that Jesus is your Saviour, but to believe that He died for you (as your Substitute and Surety), and that His blood now (Today) cleanseth you from all sin. You have been bitten by the serpent, and as the serpent was lifted up in the wilderness that the dying might look and live, so Christ was lifted up, that whosoever believeth in Him (the spoken Word of God – Isaiah 52:1-3) should not perish, but have eternal Life !

Moses serpent 3     Saving faith is simplicity itself. You must cry no more; you must cease to hang down your head as a bulrush. Look to the uplifted Saviour (John 3:14-15 and Isaiah 45:22-25), and, however grievous may have been your sins, believe that He saves you. All the remedies and medicines of the world would have failed to cure one soul who had been bitten by the venomous serpent; but God had provided a remedy that could not fail. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”      Be not among the number to whom the Saviour said, “Ye will not come unto me that ye might have Life.” Oh, how He longed to save them; for while we were yet sinners (not waiting for us to make ourselves good), Christ died unto sin for us !
Take the Word of Jesus (John 14:10-11 and 6:63) as more sure and valuable than any word that can come from the human agent. Thank God with your whole heart and soul and voice that you are barricaded with the rich promises of His infallible Word, so that the wicked one shall not touch you. God will give you the Holy Spirit, even though it may seem to you that it is too good to be true. “What shall we then say to these things?   If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give* us all things?” Romans 8:31-32

– The Bible Echo, July 2, 1894
“Who shall lay any thing to the charges of God’s elect?   For it is God that justifieth*. . . who is he that condemneth?   It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, Who is even at the right hand of God, and Who also maketh intercession for us !”   Romans 8:33-34

“So likewise reckon (count) ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord (Sovereign King) !”   Romans 6:11

And “being therefore justified* by faith (present tense – declared, rendered just, innocent, holy and righteous) . . . Today, if ye will only hear My Voice . . . we now have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ !”  Romans 5:1 ref: John 14:27-28 and Ephesians 2:13-14

“For God commendeth (demonstrated) His great love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us . . . Much more then, being now justified* by His blood (Life – Leviticus 17:10-11 & Hebrews 10:10-17), we shall be saved from wrath through Him . . . !”   Romans 5:1-9

empty-tomb (2)     “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if One died for all, then were all dead. And in that He died for all, that they which [now] live [by faith] should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again !”   II Corinthians 5:14-15

“That the Life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh !”
II Corinthians 4:10-11

“We are to take God at His Word. The experience that comes through living (active) faith is the experience that God wants every one of us to have. We should reach out the hand of faith, and grasp the Arm of Infinite power . . . The simplest prayer that is put up in faith is acceptable to heaven. “For (but) without faith it is impossible to please Him . . . for he that cometh to God must believe that He Is (I Am), and that He is (I Am) a Rewarder of all those that seek Him . . .”   Hebrews 11:6 ref: Deuteronomy 4:29-33

The humblest soul that looks up to Christ in faith is connected with the God (Elohim – Mighty One) of the universe . . .“Who upholds all things by the Word of His power !” We may walk (live) in the Light (the glory, the victory, the assurance streaming from the throne of Almighty God) as Christ is in the Light . . . !”   I John 1:7 and Psalm 44:3 and 89:15

Isaiah 9:6-7 and Jeremiah 23:5-6

Our Freedom and Victory in Christ Jesus – Guaranteed !

“O Israel, . . . thou hast destroyed thyself, but in Me is thine help. I will be thy King, for where is any other that may save thee in all of thy cities . . . ?” Hosea 13:9-14

“Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel . . . be glad and rejoice with all thy heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.  For the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) hath taken away thy judgments* (Galatians 3:13, Deuteronomy 28:15-47), He hath cast out thine enemy . . . . Yea, the King of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst (heart) of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more . . .

In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem . . . My city and My people which are called by My name (Daniel 9:19) . . . Fear thou not ___________ (your name), and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack.   For the LORD thy God (Elohim) in the midst of thee is Mighty* (full of power, a Warrior, valiant and strong); He will SAVE !

He will rejoice over thee __________ (your name) with joy; He will rest (engrave) in His love, He will joy over thee with singing . . . !” Zephaniah 3:14-17, I Peter 2:5-9 and Ephesians 2:10 Continue reading

To Heal the Broken Hearted !

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD (Adoni Yehuvee’) is upon Me . . . for He hath anointed Me to proclaim Glad Tidings unto the meek, He hath sent Me to bind up (heal) the brokenhearted . . . to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound . . . !” Isaiah 63:1-4 and Luke 4:18-19

For the LORD hath appeared of old unto Me, saying . . .
Yea, I have love thee ________ (your name) with an everlasting love, therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee unto Me.   Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel . . . thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets (tambourines), and thou shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry . . .

For behold, I Am the God (Elohim – Mighty One) of all flesh, is there anything  too hard for Me . . . ?”   Jeremiah 31:3-4 and 32:27, 38-42

The Law of God – Fulfilled or destroyed ?

Bible_101     The question which is now being asked by many of God’s children is . . . . If Christ came to “fulfill” the law, then what part did He destroy ?

This is a vital Truth for each of God’s children to know. The LORD did not come to change His Law (instructions in righteousness) . . . “For He shall magnify the Law and make it honourable” (Isaiah 42:21) . . . . but rather He has given us the promise that He will change our carnal hearts of stone !

Verily, verily, I say unto you . . . Ye must be begotten again !”

The Law of the Spirit and Life ?

Eli     “For the Law of the Spirit of (and) Life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death . . . !”   Romans 8:2-4

There are Truths in the Word which, like veins of precious ore, are hidden beneath the surface. The hidden treasure is discovered as it is searched for, as a miner searches for gold and silver. The evidence of the Truth (verity) of God’s Word is in the Word itself. Scripture is the key that unlocks scripture. The deep meaning of the Truths of God’s Word is unfolded to our minds by His Spirit.”                                    – 8 Testimonies, p.157

For spiritual things are Spiritually discerned . . . !”     ref: I Corinthians 2:14

This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth (Malachi 4:3-6); but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it: for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success .And be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves . . . .For whoso looketh into the perfect Law of liberty (freedom from sin and death – Romans 8:2), and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hear, but a doer of the work (John 14:10 & Philippians 2:13) . . . . this man shall be blessed in his deed !”     James 1:21-25

Have I not commanded (promised) you?  Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid nor be dismayed: for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go !”   Joshua 1:8-9

For it is God which worketh in you both to will, and to do of His good pleasure !”     Philippians 2:13″And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him . . . because we keep His Commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight . . . !”    I John 3:22
“And he that keepeth His Commandments dwelleth in Him, and He (God – John 4:24) in him . . . And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us . . . !”   I John 3:24

And Jesus (Yehushua) said . . . . Abide in Me, and I in you. For as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye bear fruit (Galatians 5:22) except ye abide in Me . . . . For I Am the Vine, and ye are the branches: he that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit . . . for without Me ye can do nothing !If ye abide in Me (the Word – John 1:1 & 1:14), and My Words . . . which are Spirit and Life . . . abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you !”     John 15:1-7 & John 6:63

If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love . . . even as I have kept My Father’s commandments, and abide in His love !”   John 15:10
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous !”   I John 5:2-3

And hereby we do know that we know Him . . . which is Life eternal . . . (ref: John 17:3), if we keep His Commandments. For he that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His Commandments, is a liar, and the Truth (God’s Word – John 17:17) is not in Him . . . . But whoso keepeth His Word, in him verily is the love of God perfected; and hereby know we that we are in Him . . . . He that saith he abideth in Him (Christ Jesus), ought himself also so to walk, even as He (Jesus) walked !”   I John 2:3-6Jesus saith  . . . . “Believest thou not that I Am in the Father, and the Father  . . . which is Spirit (John 4:24) . . . is in Me?  for the Words that I speak unto you,

I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works . . . . If ye love Me, keep My commandments !”   John 14:10-15     And Jesus said . . . “He that sent Me is with Me: the Father hath not left Me alone; for I do always those things that please Him ! John 8:29

“There is much Light yet to shine forth from the law of God and the gospel (Glad Tidings) of righteousness. This message, understood in its true character, and proclaimed in the Spirit, will lighten the earth with its glory (Revelation 14:6-15 & 18:1-4) The great decisive question is to be brought before all nations, tongues, and peoples.

The closing work of the third angel’s message will be attended with a power that will send the rays of the Sun of Righteousness (Malachi 4:1-6) into all the highways and byways of life, and decisions will be made for God . . . !”

The Origins of Easter ?

easter eggs 2A powerful article from Amazing Discoveries –

Easter is known for its bunny rabbits, colored eggs, hot cross buns, and the return of springtime. But where did Easter come from?

Few people realize that Easter is not about the resurrection of Christ. The only time the word “Easter” is found in the Bible (Acts 12:4), it is there by mistranslation. The word in the original Greek is “Passover.” Jesus died at the time of the Passover feast, but the Passover is not Easter and Jesus did not die at Easter time. Easter is an ancient spring festival. Long before the time of Christ, the pagan goddess Ishtar, or sometimes known as Astarte or Ashtoreth, was worshiped in different countries. Our modern practice of sunrise worship originates from the pagan festival honoring Ishtar. The story of Easter also helps explain how Sunday became sacred and the origin of virgin worship. His Life and Victory is Ours !

Christ wilderness 2     “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us . . . !”     Romans 8:37

Today Satan is carrying forward zealously his work of temptation, and he will make many conquests over those who are not watching unto prayer. Christ was tempted in all points as we are tempted. Let those who are bowed down under trial and temptation, and who feel that their friends have forsaken them, think of Christ, of Whom God said, “This is My Beloved Son,” alone in the wilderness, meeting temptations more severe than any that are brought against them.

Let them not give up in despair, but reach out a trembling hand of faith to grasp the Hand that is held out to save (Isaiah 42:1-7 & 40:26-31).      Let them cast their helpless souls upon Jesus, Who, because He has passed over the ground knows how to deliver them that are tempted . . . .

The gift of Righteousness ?

robes of righteousness 2The Gift of Righteousness –

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith . . . to faith.” Romans 1:17.

Faith is complete dependence upon the Word of God, expecting that Word to do what the Word Itself says. Is there, then, righteousness spoken by the Word of God, so that people can depend completely upon that Word, that the Word shall accomplish what the Word says?

There is. . . . Indeed, that is the very object of the gift of Christ. For Him “God hath set forth . . . to declare His righteousness (faithfulness) for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.” Romans 3:25.

A Message of Hope !

woman caught adulteryHe is able to save to the uttermost !

“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God (Elohim – the Mighty One of Israel): for I shall yet praise Him for the Help* of His Countenance . . . !”   Psalm 42:5

“Satan seeks to draw our minds away from the mighty Helper, to lead us to ponder over our degeneration of soul. But though Jesus sees the guilt of the past (last year, last month, last week, or even last night), He speaks pardon; and we should not dishonor Him by doubting His love.

The feeling of guiltiness must be laid at the foot of the cross, or it will poison the springs of life. When Satan thrusts his threatenings upon you, turn from them, and comfort your soul with the Promises of God. The cloud may be dark in itself, but when filled with the Light of heaven, it turns to the brightness of gold; for the glory (character and love) of God rests upon it.       – Testimonies to Ministers p.518

If you feel yourself to be the greatest sinner, Christ is just what you need, the greatest Saviour. Lift up your head and look away from yourself, away from your sin, to the uplifted Saviour; away from the poisonous, venomous bite of the serpent to the Lamb of God Who taketh away the sin of the world.                                                           – Lift Him Up p.256

The sense of sin has poisoned the springs of Life. But Christ says, “I will take your sins; I will give you peace. I have bought you with My blood. You are Mine. My grace* shall strengthen your weakened will; and your remorse for sin I will remove . . . . !” Continue reading
