Our Wilderness Like Eden . . . !

flowers rain 1     “Ask ye of the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) rain in the time of the Latter Rain . . . so the LORD shall make flashing (bright) clouds, and give them showers of Rain, and to every one grass in the field !”
Zechariah 10:1

We share these promises, and encourage all who receive them to read each one aloud . . . For they were written, and are spoken to each of us and our families Today, if we will only hear our Father’s Voice.   Today, there are so many struggling against the powers of doubt and darkness, so many who see only a wilderness and desert before them in the lives of those they love. So many who are crying out for Salvation (freedom, deliverance, and healing) for their husbands, wives and children . . .

And unto each of us, this Word of Light and Life is given, and stands sure and strong for all eternity . . . ! Continue reading

Victory and Freedom – The Conundrum of the “Balanced View ?”

AD VindicateThis article was posted at ADVindicate, and the link to the original article is located at the bottom of the page. We pray that what you read here will be a great blessing to you and those you love !

Scenario One

The year was 1999, and a denominational publishing house heard my conversion story from homosexuality, and asked me to submit my story for publication, as a resource for our denomination. I was given a deadline of four weeks.

After much prayer and fourteen-hour days of writing, I met their deadline. After many months, I finally called for a status report.

“Oh!  You haven’t received your manuscript? It was supposed to have been returned to you.”

“Why would it be returned?” I asked.

“It was rejected. The book committee decided they wanted a more balanced view.”

“Balanced view of what?” I asked. “I was asked to submit my story. Are you suggesting it is unbalanced?” I was alarmed.

“No, they just thought it would be better to have more stories to put into one book in order to present a balanced view,” came the reply.

I wondered aloud, “So stories of victory and success must be balanced out with stories of failure?    Why?”

Chosen in Him . . . ?

ascension     There has been one promise of Scripture which the Lord Jesus Christ has been bringing to my remembrance repeatedly over the last few months. It is found in John 8:31-32, where He tells us . . . “You shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free !”

And then I remember Christ’s prayer in the garden, when He cries to our Father on our behalf, and says . . . “Sanctify them through Thy Truth, Yea, Thy Word is Truth !”     John 17:17

In the original greek of the text, the word “Truth” literally means Verity, (verily so) !

So what Christ Jesus is really promising to each of us, is that we shall know the Truth, and the Truth (the unfailing verity of His Word) shall make us free . . . “For whom the Son makes free, shall be free indeed !”
John 8:33-36

The Power of God’s Promises ?

resurrection2Wherefore, as the Holy Spirit saith . . . Today, if you will only hear His Voice !

     “God, Who at sundry times and in diverse manners spake in time past unto our fathers by the prophets . . . . Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son . . . by Whom also He made the worlds !”
Hebrews 1:1-3 & Psalm 33:6-9)

The same power that Christ exercised when He walked visibly among men is in His Word. It was by His Word that Jesus healed disease and cast out demons; by His Word He stilled the sea and raised the dead, and the people bore witness that His Word was with power. He spoke the Word of God, as He had spoken to all the prophets and teachers of the Old Testament. The whole Bible is a manifestation of Christ (the Anointed One, the Anointing) !   ref: John 6:63

The Scriptures are to be received as God’s Word to us, not written merely, but spoken
. When the afflicted ones came to Christ, He beheld not only those who asked for help,
but all who throughout the ages should come to Him in like need and with like faith !

The Ninety and Nine . . . ?

lostsheep ”And He (Jesus, Yehushua) spake this parable unto them, saying . . . . What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that one which is lost, until he find it?     And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing (ref: Zephaniah 3:14-17) !

     And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them . . . . Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost ! . . . . Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence (in the midst) of the angels of God over one sinner that repeneteth, and cometh home . . . !”   Luke 15:1-10

The Ninety and Nine –

There were ninety and nine that safely lay
      In the shelter of the fold.
But one was out on the hills away,
      Far off from the gates of gold.
Away on the mountains wild and bare.
      Away from the tender Shepherd’s care.
      Away from the tender Shepherd’s care.

“Lord, Thou hast here Thy ninety and nine;
      Are they not enough for Thee?”
But the Shepherd made answer: “This of Mine
      Has wandered away from Me;
And although the road be rough and steep,
      I go to the desert to find My sheep,
      I go to the desert to find My sheep.”

But none of the ransomed ever knew
      How deep were the waters crossed;
Nor how dark was the night the Lord passed through
      Ere He found His sheep that was lost.
Out in the desert He heard its cry,
      Sick and helpless and ready to die;
      Sick and helpless and ready to die.

“Lord, whence are those blood drops all the way
      That mark out the mountain’s track?”
“They were shed for one who had gone astray
      Ere the Shepherd could bring him back.”
“Lord, whence are Thy hands so rent and torn?”
      “They are pierced tonight by many a thorn;
        They are pierced tonight by many a thorn.”

And all through the mountains, thunder riven
      And up from the rocky steep,
There arose a glad cry to the gate of Heaven,
      “Rejoice! I have found My sheep!”
And the angels echoed around the throne,
      “Rejoice, for the Lord brings back His own!
        Rejoice, for the Lord brings back His own!”

A Message of Hope !

woman caught adulteryHe is able to save to the uttermost !

     “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God (Elohim – the Mighty One of Israel): for I shall yet praise Him for the Help* of His Countenance . . . !”   Psalm 42:5

“Satan seeks to draw our minds away from the mighty Helper, to lead us to ponder over our degeneration of soul. But though Jesus sees the guilt of the past (last year, last month, last week, or even last night), He speaks pardon; and we should not dishonor Him by doubting His love.

The feeling of guiltiness must be laid at the foot of the cross, or it will poison the springs of life. When Satan thrusts his threatenings upon you, turn from them, and comfort your soul with the Promises of God. The cloud may be dark in itself, but when filled with the Light of heaven, it turns to the brightness of gold; for the glory (character and love) of God rests upon it.       – Testimonies to Ministers p.518

If you feel yourself to be the greatest sinner, Christ is just what you need, the greatest Saviour. Lift up your head and look away from yourself, away from your sin, to the uplifted Saviour; away from the poisonous, venomous bite of the serpent to the Lamb of God Who taketh away the sin of the world.                                                           – Lift Him Up p.256

The sense of sin has poisoned the springs of Life. But Christ says, “I will take your sins; I will give you peace. I have bought you with My blood. You are Mine. My grace* shall strengthen your weakened will; and your remorse for sin I will remove . . . . !” Continue reading

Free Indeed . . . !

Spirit filledNot by Might, nor by Strength, but by My Spirit saith the LORD of Hosts . . . !”

      The means by which we can overcome the wicked one is that by which Christ overcame, — by the power of the Word. God does not control our minds without our consent; but if we desire to know and to do His will, His Promises are ours: for our Saviour says, “Sanctify them through Thy Truth (Verity) . . . Thy Word is Truth ! and  Ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth (verity of My Word) shall make you free !”  John 17:17 & John 8:32

Through faith in these Promises, every man may be delivered from the snares of error and the control of sin . . . !”

By sin we have been severed from the Life of God. Of ourselves we are utterly incapable of living a holy life. There are many who realize their helplessness, and who long for that spiritual Life which will bring them into harmony with God; they are vainly striving to obtain this Life.

Light and Faith like Streams of Living Water . . . !

Gods-Creation     We have most precious Promises in the Word of God, which ought to give us courage and confidence. They should enable us to come out of uncertainty and darkness, to come where we may know that the Spirit beareth witness with our spirit (mind) that we are the children of God. There is nothing wanting in the store-house of our God.
Romans 8:16

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus . . . . for who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? Moreover we have the mind of Christ !”             Philippians 2:5 & I Corinthians 2:16

It is not enough to say, “I believe;” we must exercise the Living (active, moving) faith that claims the Promises of God as our own, knowing that they are sure and steadfast. The enemy of our souls would be glad to steal away these precious Promises from us, and cast darkness before our eyes, so that we should not be able to appropriate the good things that God means that we shall have ! Showers of Grace in the time of the Latter Rain ?

John 1624 leaf     “Ask ye of the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah) rain in the time of the Latter Rain; so the Lord shall make bright (flashing, lightning) clouds, and give them showers of Rain, to every one grass in the field.”     Zechariah 10:1

“He shall come down like Rain upon the mown grass: as Showers that watereth the earth. And in His days shall the righteous flourish . . . If ye love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another (more) Comforter . . . . I will not leave you Comfortless . . . I will come to you !”
Psalm 72:6 & John 14:12-20

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the Words of My mouth. For My doctrine (teaching, instrcutions) shall drop as the Rain, and My speech shall distil as the dew . . . As the small Rain upon the tender herb, and as the Showers upon the grass . . . !”     Deuteronomy 32:1-2

“Hitherto have ye asked nothing in My name (in My authority, because of My merits, My righteousness) . . . Ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full . . . !”          John 16:24

Can God still provide bread from heaven ?

God Provides 2    “Yea, they spake against God (Elohim) . . . and they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness ? . . . Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in His Salvation (H3444 – Yesh-oo-aw’) . . . !”
Psalm 78:19 & 22

     “Give ear, O My people to My law: incline your ears to the Words of My mouth . . . for the Words that I speak they are Spirit, and they are Life ! . . . I will open My mouth in a parable . . . which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from our children, shewing to the generation to come the Praises of the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah), and His Strength, and His wonderful works that He hath done . . . !”   Psalm 78:1-4 & John 6:63
