The Fullness of His Blessing – Awaits Our Demand and Reception !

To each of us our Lord and Saviour says . . . . “The Kingdom of heaven suffereth violence,* and the violent take it by force !”  Matthew 11:12

This verse of Scripture has often left me wondering . . . What could our Saviour have meant when He spoke these words to his disciples and the multitudes that followed Him ?

As I prayed and considered one day these words of Jesus, I was led to look up the words “violent” and also “violence” in its original greek of the text.  What our Lord revealed has changed my life forever.  And it is my prayer that as you read the article below, you also will be inspired to press your case as never before “boldly to the throne of grace !”   ref: Galatians 3:14 and Acts 2:30-39

The word “violent,” and “violence” literally mean =  to seize, to take hold of with unyielding persistence, and refuse to be denied !
Luke 18:1-8* & Genesis 32:24-30*

Not because we deserve anything, but rather because we claim by faith (Romans 10:17) the merits and worthiness of our crucified and resurrected Saviour, for God has promised, and He verily cannot lie !

ref: Numbers 23:19, I Kings 8:56-58 and Isaiah 55:8-11

“And all the promises of God are in Him (the Word of God) yea, and in Him, Amen !”
II Corinthians 1:20

Quote –
“The parable of the merchantman seeking goodly pearls has a double significance: it applies not only to men as seeking the kingdom of heaven, but to Christ as seeking His lost inheritance. Christ, the heavenly merchantman seeking goodly pearls, saw in lost humanity the pearl of price.

In man, defiled and ruined by sin, He saw the possibilities of redemption. Hearts that have been the battleground of the conflict with Satan, and that have been rescued by the power of love (self-sacrifice), are more precious to the Redeemer than are those who have never fallen.

God looked upon humanity, not as vile and worthless; He looked upon it in Christ, He saw it as it might become through redeeming love. He collected all the riches of the universe, and laid them down in order to buy the pearl. And Jesus, having found it, resets it in His own diadem. “For they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon His land.” Zechariah 9:16. “They shall be Mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up My jewels.” Malachi 3:17.

But Christ as the precious pearl, and our privilege of possessing this heavenly treasure, is the theme on which we most need to dwell. It is the Holy Spirit that reveals to men the preciousness of the goodly pearl. The time of the Holy Spirit’s power is the time when in a special sense the heavenly gift is sought and found. In Christ’s day many heard the gospel, but their minds were darkened by false teaching, and they did not recognize in the humble Teacher of Galilee the Sent of God.

But after Christ’s ascension His enthronement (Zechariah 6:12-13)in His mediatorial kingdom was signalized by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. On the day of Pentecost the Spirit was given. Christ’s witnesses proclaimed the power of the risen Saviour. The light of heaven penetrated the darkened minds of those who had been deceived by the enemies of Christ. They now saw Him exalted to be “a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.” Acts 5:31.

They saw Him encircled with the glory of heaven, with infinite treasures in His hands to bestow upon all who would turn from their rebellion. As the apostles set forth the glory of the Only-Begotten of the Father, three thousand souls were convicted.

They were made to see themselves as they were, sinful and polluted, and Christ as their friend and Redeemer. Christ was lifted up, Christ was glorified, through the power of the Holy Spirit resting upon men.
By faith these believers saw Him as the One Who had borne humiliation, suffering, and death that they might not perish but have everlasting Life . . . . “and this Life is in His Son !” I John 5:11-12. The revelation (revealing) of Christ by the Spirit brought to them a realizing sense of His power and majesty, and they stretched forth their hands to Him by faith, saying, “I believe !”

Then the Glad Tidings (gospel) of a risen Saviour were carried to the uttermost bounds of the inhabited world. The church beheld converts flocking to her from all directions. Believers were reconverted. Sinners united with Christians in seeking the pearl of great price.
The prophecy was fulfilled, The weak shall be “as David,” and the house of David “as the Angel of the Lord.” Zechariah 12:8. Every Christian saw in his brother the divine similitude of benevolence and love. One interest prevailed. One object swallowed up all others. All hearts beat in harmony. The only ambition of the believers was to reveal the likeness of Christ’s character, and to labor for the enlargement of His kingdom.

“The multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul. . . . With great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus (Ephesians 1:17-21 and Romans 6:1-6); and great grace was upon them all.” Acts 4:32, 33. “And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” Acts 2:47. The Spirit of Christ animated the whole congregation; for they had found the pearl of great price.

These scenes are to be repeated, and with greater power. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost was the former rain, but the Latter Rain will be more abundant. The Spirit awaits our demand and reception. Christ is again to be revealed in His fulness by the Holy Spirit’s power.

Men will discern the value of the precious pearl, and with the apostle Paul they will say, “What things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge* (knowing) of Christ Jesus my Lord.”   Philippians 3:7-8 and ref: John 17:3*

– Christ Object Lessons, p.121

“Christ had an infinite variety of subjects from which to choose in His teaching, but the one upon which He dwelt most largely was the endowment of His Holy Spirit. What great things He predicted for the church because of this endowment!   Yet what subject is less dwelt upon today? what promise less fulfilled?

Prophecies are dwelt upon, doctrines are expounded, but the promise of the Spirit, the fulfillment of which is necessary for the success of God’s work, is incidentally touched upon, and that is all. Other blessings and privileges have been set before the church but the thought entertained regarding the promise of the Spirit is that it is not for the church now, that at some time in the future the church will receive this gift.
But this promise belongs to us now as surely as it belonged to the disciples.

ref: Galatians 3:14
and Acts 2:30-39

God’s people seem to be incapable of comprehending and appropriating (as their very own) this Promise. They seem to think that only the scantiest showers of grace are to fall on the thirsty soul (ref: Isaiah 44:3). They act as if they must rely on their own efforts for Salvation (rescue, deliverance, freedom and healing) and as a result they have little strength for the work of overcoming.

They have little Light to give to the souls dying in the darkness of error. Church members have long been content with little of the Blessing of God (John 6:63). They have not felt the need of reaching for the exalted privileges provided for them at infinite cost.
Their spirituality is feeble, their experience dwarfed and crippled; and therefore they are disqualified for the work of the Lord. They are unable to present in the power of the Spirit the great and glorious Truths (unfailing verity – John 17:17) of God’s Word . . .

It is not because of any restriction on God’s part that the riches of His grace* (G5485 – the divine Influence) do not flow to men. His gift is godlike.
He gave with a liberality that men do not appreciate because they do not love to receive. If all were willing to receive, all would be filled with the Spirit. By resting content with small blessings, we disqualify ourselves for receiving the Spirit in its unlimited fullness. We are too easily satisfied with a ripple on the surface, when it is our privilege to expect the deep moving of the Spirit of God.

Expecting little, we receive but little . . .”

Is “Contemplative Prayer” really Christian ?

A powerful message by a former eastern mystic, whom the Lord Jesus Christ has delivered and saved. This is one of 4 short videos which reveal the present dangers facing our churches across this world, as ancient spiritualism and spiritual formation techniques (such as centering prayer, contemplative prayer, labyrinth walking, spiritual drumming, tai-chi, yoga, mantras, breath prayer and many others) is finding it’s way in among God’s people.

Please share these clips with all that you are able. And pray in faith that the eyes of all may be opened to see the Light and glorious Truth of the Word of the Living God !

Our Lord (Sovereign King) and Saviour Jesus Christ is coming very soon. Let us all be ready to meet Him !

The Truth shall make you Free . . . !

Jesus-heals-lame     And “when the evening was come, they brought unto Him many that were possessed with devils . . . . and He cast out the spirits with His Word, and healed all that were sick . . . !”   Matthew 8:16

“This world is a vast lazar house, but Christ came to heal the sick, to proclaim deliverance to the captives of Satan. He was in Himself health and strength. He imparted His Life to the sick, the afflicted, those possessed of demons. He turned away none who came to receive His healing power. He knew that those who petitioned Him for help had brought disease upon themselves; yet He did not refuse to heal them. And when virtue from Christ entered into these poor souls, they were convicted of sin, and many were healed of their spiritual disease, as well as of their physical maladies.

The gospel (Glad Tidings) still possesses the same power, and why should we not today witness the same results ?”

Social media under question ?

facebook 2Facebook’s new gender options ?

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind . . . to do those things which are not convenient (not becoming, not fit)  . . .!”
Romans 1:24-32

Quote from The Washington Post –   “Facebook introduced new gender options yesterday, making the site more user-friendly to people who don’t identify strictly as male or female. But while the change has been lauded by many people — particularly LGBT groups that have lobbied for such a change — it’s also been greeted by a bit of confusion. Like — what’s the difference between “bigender” and “gender fluid”? And what does “two spirit” mean, anyway . . . ?”

And when ye shall see all these things “begin to come to pass, then look up, for your Redemption draweth nigh !”   Luke 21:28

Each soul is of great value to the LORD God, for He and His Son have given all for their redemption (deliverance, freedom, salvation, rescue). Let us pray for all who are yet walking in the darkness of sin and unbelief. For Christ Jesus has paid for them whether they realize it or not  . . . He would have given His Life for even only one . . . !

We thank all who have supported the LORD’s work through Facebook, sharing the Glad Tidings of His Son. And we encourage you to visit us here at our website for updates and articles of faith and hope. We regret that we will no longer being using Facebook due to the choices which they have made in this regard.

May the LORD bless and keep you !

He is able to do Exceeding Abundantly above all that you can ask or think !

flowers-2     “Satan seeks to draw our minds away from the mighty Helper, to lead us to ponder over our degeneration of soul. But though Jesus sees the guilt of the past (last year, last month, last week, and even yesterday), He speaks pardon; and we should not dishonor Him by doubting His love. The feeling of guiltiness must be laid at the foot of the cross, or it will poison the springs of Life . . .

My son and daughter, attend to My Words . . . incline thine ear unto My sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; yea, keep them in the midst of thine heart . . . . For they are Life (John 6:63) unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh . . . !

Yea, keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it (thine heart) are the issues (springs) of Life !”   Proverbs 4:20-23 Continue reading

I am not Ashamed of the Glad Tidings of Christ !

OXYGEN VOLUME 13“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto Salvation (deliverance, rescue, freedom, healing and restoration), to every one that believeth . . . . For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to greater faith: as it is written . . . The Just shall live by faith !”     Romans 1:16-17

The gospel (Glad Tidings) must be received (believed, and appropriated by faith as our own) in order to regenerate the heart . . .”     – Our High Calling, p.104

As the Holy Spirit saith . . . Today, if ye will hear His Voice, and harden not your hearts, in unbelief . . . For unto us were the Glad Tidings proclaimed, as well as unto them, but the Word preached (proclaimed) did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it !”     Hebrews 3:7-8 & 4:2

If My people will pray! – General Conference 2015

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah), thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (to fulfill My promises to you) . . . . Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you . . . . And ye shall seek Me, and ye shall find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all of your heart !   And I will be found of you, saith the LORD, and I will turn away your captivity . . . !”   Jeremiah 29:11-14

“For unto this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit . . . and that trembleth at My Word !”   Isaiah 66:1-2

“I am instructed to bear a message to those who minister by holding forth the Word of God to others.   You must be converted. This is surely what you need. The spiritual anointing of the LORD will never come to self-sufficient men and women. Many who are in God’s service, proclaiming the Truth by pen and voice, are not worked by the Holy Spirit. Self has grown to large proportions. Until the soul is emptied of self and the Holy Spirit takes possession, you will be unready for the coming of Christ. You will certainly be weighed in the golden scales of the heavenly sanctuary and be found wanting.

God’s Promise is to us and to our children (Acts 2:30-39 & Galatians 3:14), and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. We may claim this Promise for ourselves, and receive the Holy Spirit in His fullness. Then shall not we who preach the Word be clothed with the power of God? Shall we not be in truth (verity) His messengers? . . .

Who is willing to take himself in hand? Who is willing to lay his finger upon his cherished idols of sin, and allow Christ to purify the temple by casting out the buyers and sellers? Who is prepared to allow Jesus to enter the soul and cleanse it from everything that tarnishes or corrupts?”

I have set before thee an Open Door – part.2

PilgrimOur Great Treasure House The Promises of God’s Word !

“I Am the door . . . by Me (the Word of God), if any man enter in, he shall be saved (delivered, rescued, set free, healed and made whole) ! . . . and shall go in and out, and find pasture . . . !”
John 10:9-11 and ref: Psalm 23:1-6 & Psalm 34:8-15

We are pilgrims and strangers on this earth, looking for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. The path in which we travel is narrow, and calls for the exercise of self-denial and sacrifice, but God has not left us without help. He has filled His Word with wonderful promises, to strengthen and cheer His children. In these promises He draws back the veil from eternity, and gives us glimpses of the far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory that awaits the overcomer.

A Few Examples of Promise. Continue reading

God has set before thee, an Open Door ! – part.1

open door 1Behold, I have set before thee an open door . . . and no man can shut it !”   Revelation 3:7-9

Faith . . . reaches out to grasp the hand of Christ, knowing that He will hold more firmly than it is possible for the human hand to hold, and that He will never let go. While the human agent is willing to be led, Christ will lead him. . . .

Faith is the very lifeblood of the soul. Its presence gives warmth, health, consistency, and sound judgment. Its vitality and vigor exert a powerful though unconscious influence. The life of Christ in the soul is as a well of water, springing up unto everlasting life. It leads to a constant cultivation of the heavenly graces and to a kindly submission in all things to the Lord. It enables us to reveal that Christ is abiding in the soul. . . .

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1). Have we not proved this in the past as we have moved out in faith to produce the things now seen? . . . Faith is not only to look forward to things unseen; it is to be confirmed by looking at past experience, at tangible results, the verification of God’s Word. . . . Pray, “Lord, increase my faith.” Faith quickens the senses to work diligently to produce results. Faith elevates and ennobles the powers of the soul, enabling it to lay hold upon the unseen. . . .

Entanglements in secular business are sometimes permitted by God to stir the sluggish faculties to more than common action, that He may honor faith by the bestowal of rich blessings. This is a means of advancing His work. But those who are without faith will never learn. By unbelief they dishonor their Lord. Unless they are converted, they will make shipwreck of their faith.

He desires His people, even in the darkest shadow, to trust in Him.

Satan is permitted to throw his shadow across their pathway that their dormant faith may be aroused to pierce the cloud, and find light and courage and life beyond. . . . Praise God that He loves us that much !

Looking unto Jesus, not only as our Example, but as the Author and Finisher of our faith, let us go forward, having confidence that He will supply us with all the strength that is needed for every duty. Eternal life is presented to us. Let us do all in our power to gain it.

You are Complete in Him! – part.2

Jesus tomb1     “According as He hath chosen us in Him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love . . . wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved !”     Ephesians 1:4-6

“For God so loved this world, that He gave His Only-Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life.” John 3:16. This message is for the world, for “whosoever” means that any and all who comply with the condition may share the Blessing (ref: Galatians 3:14).

All who look unto Jesus, believing in Him as their personal Saviour, shall “not perish, but have everlasting Life.” Every provision has been made that we may have the everlasting reward. Christ is our sacrifice, our Substitute, our Surety, our Divine intercessor; He is made unto us Righteousness, Sanctification, and Redemption. “For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures (shadows) of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the Presence of God for us.” Hebrews 9:24 Continue reading
