Simple Living (active) Faith ?

rainbow 2a    “Believe that Jesus meets with you (and dwells within you . . . because He has promised); believe that He is willing to bless you. Turn the eye away from self (your own weakness). Look unto Jesus, talk of His matchless love. By beholding Him you will become changed into His likeness. When you pray, be brief, come right to the point. Do not preach the Lord a sermon in your long prayers. Ask for the Bread of Life (His Spirit-filled promises – John 6:27-50) as a hungry child asks bread of his earthly father. God will bestow upon us every needed blessing if we ask Him in simplicity and faith.”
– Counsels to the Church, p.294

“True faith lays hold of and claims the promised Blessing before it is realized and felt. We must send up our petitions in faith within the second veil and let our faith take hold of the promised blessing and claim it as ours (Galatians 3:14). We are then to believe that we receive the blessing, because our faith has hold of it, and according to the Word it is ours. “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them !”
Mark 11:24 and Hebrews 11:1-6

Here is faith, naked faith, to believe that we receive the blessing (the promise spoken), even before we realize it. When the promised blessing is realized and enjoyed, faith is swallowed up. But many suppose they have much faith when sharing largely of the Holy Spirit and that they cannot have faith unless they feel the power of the Spirit. Swallpaper-2995113uch confound faith with the blessing that comes through faith. The very time to exercise faith is when we feel destitute of the Spirit.

When thick clouds of darkness seem to hover over the mind, then is the time to let living (active) faith pierce the darkness and scatter the clouds. True faith rests on the promises contained in the Word of God, and those only who obey that Word can claim its glorious promises. If ye abide in Me, and My Words . . . which are Spirit and Life . . . abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you !” John 15:7 and 6:63.

“Whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.” 1 John 3:22.      We should be much in secret prayer. Christ is the Vine, ye (we) are the branches. And if we would grow and flourish, we must continually draw sap and nourishment from the Living Vine (John 15:1-7); for separated from the Vine we have no strength !

I asked the angel why there was no more faith and power in Israel. He said, “Ye let go of the arm of the Lord too soon. Press your petitions to the throne, and hold on by strong faith (Matthew 11:12 and Luke 18:3-8). The promises are sure. Believe ye Guardian Angelreceive the things ye ask for, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24

I was then pointed to Elijah. He was subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly. His faith endured the trial. Seven times he prayed before the LORD, and at last the cloud was seen.      I saw that we had doubted the sure promises, and wounded the Saviour by our lack of faith. Said the angel, “Gird the armor about thee, and above all take the shield of faith; for that will guard the heart, the very life, from the fiery darts (lies – John 8:44) of the wicked.”

If the enemy can lead the desponding to take their eyes off from Jesus, and look to themselves, and dwell upon their own unworthiness, instead of dwelling upon the worthiness (merits, righteousness) of Jesus as our Substitute and Surety, His love, His merits, and His great mercy, he will get away their shield of faith and gain his object; they will be exposed to his fiery temptations. The weak should therefore look to Jesus, and believe in Him (the Word of Almighty God); they then exercise (step forward, and walk out in) faith . . .”

The power of the Blood of Christ ?

crownofthornsThe Blood of Christ ?

“Grace* and peace unto you (Ephesians 2:13-14) . . . from Him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne.   And from Jesus Christ, Who is the faithful Witness (martyr – Romans 6:10), and the First Begotten of the dead . . . even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:8), and the Prince of the kings of the earth . . .

Unto Him that loved us, and washed* us from our sins in His Own blood (Leviticus 17:11 and Isaiah 53:12), and hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father . . . to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen !” Revelation 1:4-6

“This then is the message* (pledge of Divine assurance of good) which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all.   If we say that we have fellowship with Him (God), and yet walk in darkness* (shadiness, dimness, obscurity), we lie, and do not the Truth . . .

But if we walk in the Light (Psalm 119:105 and John 1:1-14), as He (Christ Jesus) is in the Light, we have fellowship* (association, union) one with Another . . . and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin . . . !”

Blood on the Doorposts ?

9bb6cba8-6b14-4961-8eb6-c3f7e6247040     “The Israelites were required to sprinkle the door-posts with the blood of a slain lamb, in order that when the angel of death passed through the land, they might escape destruction. But if . . . instead of doing this simple act of faith and obedience, they had barricaded the door, and taken every precaution to keep the destroying angel out, their pains would have been in vain, and would have testified to their unbelief . . .

When the blood was seen upon the door-post, it was enough. The salvation (the deliverance, freedom, rescue, healing and restoration) of the house was assured. So it is in the work of Salvation; it is the blood of Jesus Christ that cleanseth from all sin . . . !

The LORD would have His people sound in the faith– not ignorant of the great Salvation (deliverance, rescue, freedom, healing and restoration) so abundantly provided for them . . . !

Satan’s Masterpiece of Deception ?

In a previous article addressing the Sunday law and its chain reactions, we focused on the sequence of final events. In this article we will be focusing on how the final scenes will come about and how Sabbath keepers will be brought onto the world stage. But before we look at this final study, there are some questions that need answers.

HOW COULD HINDUS, BUDDHISTS, HUMANISTS OR ATHEISTS SUPPORT ENFORCED SUNDAY OBSERVANCE?

If the USA would enact a national Sunday law today, how many countries around the world would follow her lead? For example, how could Hindus or Buddhists, humanists or atheists support Sunday observance? And how supportive would the secular society in America and Europe be if they were deprived of Sunday shopping or sporting events? John prophesied that in the end time, “all the world wondered after the beast . . . ” (KJV, Revelation 13:3).

United we stand . . . A Solemn Appeal !

“The greatest want of the world is the want of men . . . men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall . . . !”

If My people will pray! – General Conference 2015

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah), thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (to fulfill My promises to you) . . . . Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you . . . . And ye shall seek Me, and ye shall find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all of your heart !   And I will be found of you, saith the LORD, and I will turn away your captivity . . . !”   Jeremiah 29:11-14

“For unto this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit . . . and that trembleth at My Word !”   Isaiah 66:1-2

“I am instructed to bear a message to those who minister by holding forth the Word of God to others.   You must be converted. This is surely what you need. The spiritual anointing of the LORD will never come to self-sufficient men and women. Many who are in God’s service, proclaiming the Truth by pen and voice, are not worked by the Holy Spirit. Self has grown to large proportions. Until the soul is emptied of self and the Holy Spirit takes possession, you will be unready for the coming of Christ. You will certainly be weighed in the golden scales of the heavenly sanctuary and be found wanting.

God’s Promise is to us and to our children (Acts 2:30-39 & Galatians 3:14), and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. We may claim this Promise for ourselves, and receive the Holy Spirit in His fullness. Then shall not we who preach the Word be clothed with the power of God? Shall we not be in truth (verity) His messengers? . . .

Who is willing to take himself in hand? Who is willing to lay his finger upon his cherished idols of sin, and allow Christ to purify the temple by casting out the buyers and sellers? Who is prepared to allow Jesus to enter the soul and cleanse it from everything that tarnishes or corrupts?”

How Faith Grows Strong ?

Bible 7The Necessity of Cultivating Faith ?

The Scripture declares, “Without faith it is impossible to please God.”
The knowledge of what the Scripture means when urging upon us the necessity of cultivating faith, is more essential than any other knowledge that can be acquired. We suffer much trouble and grief because of our unbelief, and our ignorance of how to exercise faith.

We must break through the clouds of unbelief . . . ! Continue reading

To Set the Captives Free . . . !

TheLeperAnd if the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed . . . !”   John 8:36

He came to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, and to set at liberty them that are bruised and beaten down repeatedly . . . !” Luke 4:18-19  Being raised in a 7th day Adventist Christian home, and growing up hearing about the law of Jehovah, the message of the three angels, and the importance of the Sabbath, I took little notice of statements such as these which I found in the Scriptures. The freedom here spoken of was thought to be needed more by the drunkard, the thief, the murderer and adulterers, and even more by those who knew not the knowledge which I had of the mark of the beast, and coming great time of trouble.

As I look back now, I realize that I knew a great deal “about God;” I could argue almost any debate on Scripture doctrines, but had never really known by experience His great love and desire to literally dwell within my heart and mind, and make me free indeed!”     That is until the LORD in His mercy, allowed my wife and I to know the reality of the battle in which each of us are found. A battle in which none of my will, my strength or head-knowledge was of any avail.

In 2003, after months of fighting with the unseen whispers in my head, I yielded to the voice of SELF, and filed for a divorce; a decision which would change for ever, not only my life, but that of my wife and two young children as well . . . This was the beginning of the greatest miracle we had ever seen. For what the devil thought to use for evil, and our family’s destruction, the LORD God Almighty (Yehuwah El’Shaddai) wrought mightily for our good ! And it is this miracle, the miracle of the Glad Tidings of Christ, which begat within us the Life which God has promised, the Life which Jesus both lived, died, and rose again to freely give us. And the ministry which the LORD has called each of us to do, saying . . .

All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore . . . into all the world (begin in your own neighborhood), and proclaim the Glad Tidings to every creature. And he that believeth and is baptized (with the Spirit) shall be saved . . . !”   Matthew 28:18-19, Mark 16:15-16& ref: Titus 3:4-6 Continue reading

A Message of Hope !

woman caught adulteryHe is able to save to the uttermost !

“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God (Elohim – the Mighty One of Israel): for I shall yet praise Him for the Help* of His Countenance . . . !”   Psalm 42:5

“Satan seeks to draw our minds away from the mighty Helper, to lead us to ponder over our degeneration of soul. But though Jesus sees the guilt of the past (last year, last month, last week, or even last night), He speaks pardon; and we should not dishonor Him by doubting His love.

The feeling of guiltiness must be laid at the foot of the cross, or it will poison the springs of life. When Satan thrusts his threatenings upon you, turn from them, and comfort your soul with the Promises of God. The cloud may be dark in itself, but when filled with the Light of heaven, it turns to the brightness of gold; for the glory (character and love) of God rests upon it.       – Testimonies to Ministers p.518

If you feel yourself to be the greatest sinner, Christ is just what you need, the greatest Saviour. Lift up your head and look away from yourself, away from your sin, to the uplifted Saviour; away from the poisonous, venomous bite of the serpent to the Lamb of God Who taketh away the sin of the world.                                                           – Lift Him Up p.256

The sense of sin has poisoned the springs of Life. But Christ says, “I will take your sins; I will give you peace. I have bought you with My blood. You are Mine. My grace* shall strengthen your weakened will; and your remorse for sin I will remove . . . . !” Continue reading

I have heard My people’s cry . . . !

“There are many who long to help others, but they feel that they have no spiritual strength or Light to impart. Let them present their petitions at the Throne of Grace. Plead for the Holy Spirit. For God stands back of every Promise He has made.

With your Bible in your hands say, I have done as Thou hast said. I present Thy Promise,Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you !”   We must not only pray in Christ’s name, but by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit . . . . “the Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life !” . . . .

This explains what is meant when it is said that the Spirit “maketh intercession for us, with groanings which cannot be uttered.” Romans 8:26. Such prayer God delights to answer !    When with earnestness and intensity we breathe a prayer in the name of Christ, there is in that very intensity a pledge from God that He is about to answer our prayer “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20.

Christ has said, “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24. “Whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” John 14:13.

And the beloved John, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, speaks with great plainness and assurance: “If we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us: and if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.” 1 John 5:14, 15.

Note:    And all that we must have, in order for us to know the will of God, is to find one place where He has made us a Promise in His Word. Just a single promise which says, He will cleanse us from all sin, iniquity and unrighteousness, that He will fill raise us to walk in newness of Life; that He will fill us with His Holy Spirit; that He will write His Word in our hearts, and give us freely His Victory over all sin, the devil and this world !

And even that He will provide all our daily needs (for our families, and His work), according to His abundant riches in glory, by Christ Jesus !

Then press your petition to the Father in the name of Jesus. God will honor that name !   The rainbow round about the Throne is an assurance that God is true, that in Him is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. We have sinned against Him, and are undeserving of His favor . . . .

Yet He Himself has put into our lips that most wonderful of pleas,Do not abhor us, for Thy name’s sake; do not disgrace the throne of Thy glory; Remember, break not Thy Covenant (Oath, Promise) with us.” Jeremiah 14:21.

When we come to Him confessing our unworthiness and sin, He has pledged Himself to give heed to our cry. The honor of His throne is staked for the fulfillment of His Word unto us . . . !”     – Christ’s Object Lessons 147-148
