Judge not . . . did Jesus really say that ?

Jesus teaching mount     “Judge not lest ye be judged . . . . ?”   Matthew 7:1

This is a very popular Scripture often quoted by many who don’t even profess faith in the Words of God. But does it really mean what it says?   The following article was recently posted by Matt Walsh, and it encourages each of us to take a closer look with much prayer at the Words of our Lord and Saviour !

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father in heaven is full of mercy . . . Judge not (to condemn, avenge, damn, sentence and punish), and ye shall not be judged. Condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned . . . Yea, forgive, and it shall be forgiven you . . . !”   Luke 6:36-37

Keep yourselves in the love of God (ref: I John 2:3-6), looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto Eternal Life . . . . And of some have compassion, making a difference (distinguishing with righteous judgment). Glad Tidings of Romans ! – part 7
