Enslaved to Purity !

     “Being now made free from sin, ye became (are now) the servants of righteousness . . . !”   Romans 6:18-23

     “Perfection through our own good works we can never attain. The soul who sees Jesus by faith, repudiates his own righteousness. He sees himself as incomplete, his repentance insufficient, his strongest faith but feebleness, his most costly sacrifice as meager, and he sinks in humility at the foot of the cross.    But a Voice speaks to him from the Oracles of God’s Word. In amazement he hears the message, “Ye are complete in Him !”

Free Indeed . . . !

Spirit filledNot by Might, nor by Strength, but by My Spirit saith the LORD of Hosts . . . !”

      The means by which we can overcome the wicked one is that by which Christ overcame, — by the power of the Word. God does not control our minds without our consent; but if we desire to know and to do His will, His Promises are ours: for our Saviour says, “Sanctify them through Thy Truth (Verity) . . . Thy Word is Truth ! and  Ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth (verity of My Word) shall make you free !”  John 17:17 & John 8:32

Through faith in these Promises, every man may be delivered from the snares of error and the control of sin . . . !”

By sin we have been severed from the Life of God. Of ourselves we are utterly incapable of living a holy life. There are many who realize their helplessness, and who long for that spiritual Life which will bring them into harmony with God; they are vainly striving to obtain this Life.
