Striving for the Mastery – The Crown of Eternal Life !

And every man that striveth for the mastery, is temperate (exercises self-control in both diet and chastity) in all things . . . Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown (one that perishes), but we an incorruptible . . . !”

In the preparation of a people for the Lord’s second coming, a great work is to be accomplished through the promulgation (teaching and instruction) of health principles.

Blood on the Doorposts ?

But if . . . instead of doing this simple act of faith and obedience, they had barricaded the door, and taken every precaution to keep the destroying angel out, their pains would have been in vain, and would have testified to their unbelief . . .

When the blood was seen upon the door-post, it was enough. The salvation (the deliverance, freedom, rescue, healing and restoration) of the house was assured. So it is in the work of Salvation; it is the blood of Jesus Christ that cleanseth from all sin . . . !

The LORD would have His people sound in the faith– not ignorant of the great Salvation (deliverance, rescue, freedom, healing and restoration) so abundantly provided for them . . . !
