God’s Unfailing Promises!

PilgrimFor I know the thoughts that I think toward you ___________ (your name), saith the LORD . . . thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.   Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you !

And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD (Jehovah, Yehuwah), and I will turn away your captivity . . . !”   Jeremiah 29:11-14

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD . . . For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and blossom, so that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater . . .

So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My mouth, It shall not return unto Me void, but It (He) shall accomplish that which I please, and It shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent It . . . !”     Isaiah 55:8-11, Matthew 13 & Luke 8:11

  1. God is awesome his word is ye and amen his promise cannot fail.God will continue to increase us with his wisdom every day in Jesus name

  2. i hope all will consider that many of the promises are proceeded with “if”, showing that we must obey to receive these same promises. YHWH bless your searches

  3. All we do in life, more so when we pray and study our Bible, has for motivation knowing Christ intimately and personally (Jn 5:39). Very true. So long we remain in Christ the promises are ours. There is no situation of life that has no promise that we may overcome. Only we are weak. But look at Rom 15:8 and 2 Cor1:20. On a personal note maybe you would like to listen to pastor Pavel Goia on YouTube.

  4. There are only 4 promises?

I’ve enjoyed the vids much but am not a adventist although I will say that the Sabbath and keeping it has been something heavy on my heart… But anyway I’m very interested in reading the promises and I thought I was going to find them all here but I see there are only four… Please show me how I can find all the promises…

    Thank you

    • Each promises are like the steps of the staircase that we ought to climb to reach the Lord. Among the very many promises, Some say there are about 8000, that are available to us He says this, ‘call unto Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.’ Jer 33:3. The least I could say as you seek the Lord is that you ask Him to reveal His promises to you. Didn’t He say, ‘if you shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.’ Jn 15: 14. And so did say James recorded in Js 1: 5-8. The Lord is looking to develop a clean relationship with us that is based on His word and His promises are here for us to walk therein to Him, to develop trust in Him. And as for the Sabbath issue, I believe so too. I found out that it is the seal of God as against the mark of the beast.

    • David invites us to put God to the Test. “O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the [wo]man who takes refuge in Him! Psalm 34:8, nasb. The Sabbath, yes the Sabbath! “God blessed the seventh day and separated it as holy [time]; because on that day God rested from [stopped] all his work which He had created, so that it itself could produce.” Genesis 2:3, cjb. WOW, a day, made holy, blessed by God, a gift for us. No other day received this attention. Why? Because God loves to listen to us talk to him, He likes talking with us. It’s a conversation about our plans to produce and ask for His insights to make them the best!

    • Dearest Jeanette- I hoped for a feast of promises, too. People have tried counting God’s promises in His word, and estimate 3000-3500 (depending if you divide up clusters of promises). He is a trustworthy God who always keeps His word, though not in the way or time we may expect. When we present His own words to Him in prayer, we know our request is according to His will, so we can be assured He hears us (1 John 5:14). This is one reason we can make supplication with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6)! When we ask God to help us dig for treasure in His word, He will lead us into all truth (John 16:13), and we will find many gem promises!
